MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Two of Wisconsin’s smallest structures are getting some big recognition.
The American Institute of Architects has given its micro-architecture awards to the “EDGE” house in Bayfield, and the Layton Pavilion in the Milwaukee suburb of Greenfield.
“EDGE” is a tiny modular house called the Experimental Dwelling for a Greener Environment. Bill Yudchitz was the lead designer for the project – which is designed to raise questions about how much people need to be truly happy.
The Layton Pavilion connects a parking lot with an undeveloped former industrial property – a shed that’s a destination of its own. Johnsen Schmaling Architects of Milwaukee designed it.
The two awards were among eight given to micro-architecture projects throughout the nation.
Bill Michaels Show 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
