MINDORO, Wis (WSAU) Three men killed after their truck was chased by authorities in La Crosse County have been identified as 29-year-old Joshua Koss, 25-year-old Thomas Storandt, and 19-year-old Joel Kirchner, all of Mindoro.
A La Crosse County sheriff’s deputy tried to stop the vehicle on Saturday in Mindoro for a traffic violation. But officials said the driver sped away – and a chase took place for two-and-a-half miles at speeds of over 100-miles-an-hour before the deputy lost the vehicle. A short time later, the officer saw that it crashed in the La Crosse County town of Farmington on Highway “T.” Reports said the truck rolled over several times. All three victims were ejected, and they died at the scene.
The State Patrol continues to investigate.
Storandt’s brother Cory tells the La Crosse Tribune quote, “We lost three great people.” He said they worked at three different places but hung out together often. Two white crosses have been placed at the crash scene – a farm field which the owners bought only a month ago.
