DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Authorities continue to investigate a weekend crash in Dodge County, where two men in a pick-up truck were killed by a passing train.

It happened late Saturday afternoon on Main Street in Reeseville.

Authorities said the crossing gates were down when the truck went through, and was hit by an Amtrak passenger train.

The victims’ names were not immediately released. No one on the train was hurt.

The crash also resulted in a fire that destroyed the equipment which controls the crossing signals.

Crews directed traffic until the signals were fixed – and during the repairs, the trains had been running at slower speeds.
