UNDATED (WSAU) An AirTran pilot was removed from a flight that was about to take off from Minneapolis because he'd been drinking. The Saturday flight was bound for Mitchell Field inMilwaukee.
A TSA security screener smelled alcohol on the pilot's breath and notified airport police.
The pilot was removed from the flight, and failed a breathalator test. His blood-alcohol was .05, that's one one-hundredth above the legal limit for pilots. A replacement piloted the plane toMilwaukeeafter a half-hour delay.
AirTran says the pilot will be suspended while the incident is under investigation.
