(Lansing, MI)  --  Legislation limiting able-bodied Michigan residents to 48 months over their lifetime to receive welfare has passed the state House. Senior citizens, pregnant women, domestic violence victims, incapacitated adults and adults with disabled children living at home are exempt from the limits. The bills also ban illegal immigrants from receiving welfare benefits. Welfare recipients will be allowed to work eleven more hours a week than current law allows and earn up to four thousand dollars more per year on the job.
