The funnyman was performing his signature Sledge-O-Matic routine, which involves smashing a large mallet into various objects, when he fell backwards at a venue in Rochester, Minnesota.

The star, real name Leo Gallagher, Jr., was taken to the city's St. Marys Hospital and doctors have now confirmed he suffered a minor heart attack.

Gallagher, who also had a heart attack 10 years ago, was released from the medical facility on Sunday (13Mar11), his manager, Craig Marquado, has confirmed to the New York Daily News.
