SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan says he has no intention of stepping down. Ryan, in a live interview on WHBL this morning, apologized for the drinking incident which occurred last weekend in Elkhart Lake. He reacted to the council’s action last night calling for his resignation or removal from office saying he doesn't blame the council because what he did is "indefensible". But Ryan said in spite of his alcoholism he has been successful and has done a good job leading the city. Ryan admitted to a weekend drinking binge in Elkhart Lake and said he wasn’t refuting many of the things that are currently being reported. He admitted to passing out in a tavern in Elkhart Lake and to a shoving match but he did not intend to attempt to refute any of the reports. Meanwhile a resolution calling on the mayor to step down will be brought before the city council when it convenes on Monday.
