SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - 24 year old Andrew Goldston has been sentenced to 6 years in prison in the death last year of his infant son. Judge James Bolgert this morning rejected a recommendation of 25 years, saying it was not a planned, intentional act, and sentenced Goldston to 6 years to be followed by 4 years extended supervision. He also gave him credit for 487 days he has been sitting in the county jail. Goldston addressed the court calling the death of his one-month old son Leander, “a tragic accident”. Goldston had been convicted by a jury following a 4 day trial last month. Testimony during the trial indicated that Goldston’s 1-month old son Leander had been thrown to the floor and died of severe head injuries.
