National League's Prince Fielder is introduced during starting lineups for MLB's All-Star Game in Phoenix

PHOENIX (Reuters) - Prince Fielder smacked a three-run homer to lead the National League to a 5-1 win over the American League in Tuesday's All-Star Game and clinch home field advantage in this year's World Series.

The Milwaukee Brewers slugger connected off Texas Rangers lefty C.J. Wilson in the bottom of the fourth, sending the ball off the top of the wall in left-center to score Carlos Beltran of the Mets and Matt Kemp of the Dodgers.

The victory gave the National League their first back-to-back All-Star Game wins for 15 years. Fielder, whose usual game-face scowl turned into a broad grin by the time he got back to the dugout after his round-tripper, was named Most Valuable Player of the game.

"It really is beneficial to have those first two games in front of the home crowd," said closer Brian Wilson of the World Series champion San Francisco Giants, who got the last two outs in the ninth for a save. "It really helped us last year."
