Ottawa County authorities say the traffic on southbound River Avenue will be closed at Douglas Avenue for the next 48 hours to clean off the debris further south on Pine Avenue near the BPW power plant. Signals have been restored on U.S. 31 north of the city, but signals remain out at the following intersections: River and Douglas, River and Lakewood Boulevard, River and Butternut. Traffic is being directed by Ottawa County deputies at the River and Douglas intersection, with other intersections that are without power functioning as four-way stops.
