HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) Severe thunderstorms combined with heavy rain and wind have caused damage throughout the city of Holland.  The city is asking that you remain off the roads because of downed trees, power lines and streets blocked by debris.

The latest on the power outage is that most if not all of the city is without power and the Holland Board of Public Works is currently uncertain of when power will be restored.  In addition the power generation plant and the water treament plant are both down.

1450 WHTC and 92.7 The Van are also currently off the air so you will need to remain on whtc.com and 927thevan.com for the latest in weather information until the stations are back and on-the-air.
