Former Congressman Pete Hoekstra hasn’t said whether he’ll challenge U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow in next year’s elections, but one new poll says if he does, the Holland Republican has a chance of pulling off an upset. The EPIC-MRA poll of 6-hundred Michigan voters said that if the Senate election were held today, Hoekstra would get 42 percent of the vote, while Stabenow would get 44 percent. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent. Stabenow has been Michigan’s junior U.S. Senator since 2001.
