Milwaukee, Wis. (Learfield) - Streets and sidewalks near Milwaukee City Hall were blocked off after a piece of the building fell on a car. No one was hurt when the piece of terracotta fell off the building east side face and damaged the car. It happened at about 6:45 p.m. Thursday. Milwaukee just spent 66 million dollars to renovate the building. The terracotta fell from one of eight pedestal supporting decorative urns near the clock face. Outside experts were called in to conduct an inspection and help decide if the facing needs to be removed for safety considerations. When it fell, the terracotta broke into three pieces, each weighing about five pounds.
