MENOMONEE FALLS, WI (WTAQ) - Harley-Davidson says it will cut 250 jobs in Wisconsin this spring -- and the motorcycle maker is looking for volunteers to be laid off.
They'll get financial incentives for leaving on their own, but the details have not been disclosed.
Harley spokeswoman Mari-pat Blankenheim says the company expects workers who are close to retirement to be among those volunteering to leave early.
Harley's motorcycle sales have not recovered after the recession, and the firm says it must cut millions of dollars in production costs to keep making a profit.
