KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo City voters may get to decide two marijuana related issues on the November ballot. One working its way thru the Attorney General’s office would make possession of less than an ounce “the lowest priority for law enforcement”. It’s not clear what that means.
The AG’s office has concerns about it, but may be compelled by law to let it go to voters. Petitions for a second voter initiative that would force the city to allow three medical marijuana dispensaries, are currently being reviewed by the city clerk to determine if they collected enough valid signatures. That too could appear on the November city ballot.
