Man Sentenced to Jail for Domestic Incident

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man who caused the truck his wife was driving to leave the road and who tried to throw her pit bull out of the window has been sentenced in Sheboygan County Court.  30 year old Delbert Graskamp had pled guilty to charges of mistreatment of an animal and vehicle theft in connection with the incident which occurred last June.  Judge L. Edward Stengel this week sentenced him to 8 months in the county jail with Huber privileges beginning next Friday and fined him nearly $1500.  Graskamp and his wife were in a pickup truck in the 2100 block of Washington Avenue when he grabbed the wheel causing the truck to jump the curb.  During the argument he also choked his wife’s pit bull.  When she jumped from the truck he drove off and was later arrested by Sheboygan Police.
