MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Milwaukee police say they think the same man committed at least seven sexual assaults and robberies over the last five weeks.

Investigators say there are similarities in the descriptions of the suspects in the crimes, in the locations and the way the crimes were committed.

The cases generally involve a man by himself approaching women or teenage girls walking alone. A police spokesperson says the man then forces the victims into back yards or an open garage at gunpoint.

Five of the female victims were sexually assaulted and 4 were robbed. The victims range in age from 16 to 34.
