Milwaukee, Wis. (Learfield) - A three year project to upgrade and refurbish Milwaukee's Hoan Bridge is expected to cost about 300 million dollars. That bridge carries more than 40 thousand vehicles every day, serving as a critical link between south Milwaukee County and downtown. An in-depth inspection of the bridge was started last year. The governor has said the bridge is safe, but additional work is needed to make it good for the next 40 to 50 years.
