MINOCQUA, Wis. (WTAQ) - The FAA says two people are dead after their twin-engine plane crashed in far northern Wisconsin.

The Piper-44 aircraft left Aurora Illinois and had vanished from the radar near Minocqua Thursday. 

The plane was found 5 miles north of Minocqua. Vilas County sheriff's deputies, along with the Civil Air Patrol and the state DNR joined in the search.
