PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WTAQ) - Federal authorities are helping investigate the discovery of marijuana that was shipped to a lawn products’ distribution center in Sheboygan County.
Police in Plymouth were called Thursday, after workers at the Toro Company’s distribution center opened large containers and found the marijuana.
Deputy Police Chief Chris Ringel and Jim Bohn of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration refused to confirm media reports that over 1,000 pounds of marijuana were shipped. Ringel said it’s easily the largest find in Plymouth’s history, and Bohn said it’s a large amount for a rural area in eastern Wisconsin.
No arrests had been made at last word. Ringel would say where the pot came from. He said the containers were too big to be mailed.
The Toro plant is operating as normal Friday, and the company is refusing comment on the matter.
