Milwaukee, Wi (WSAU) Vice President Joe Biden told a Wisconsin crowd that letting next month's elections be a referendum on voter anger will spell defeat for Democratice candidates. Biden appeared at a party fundraiser in Milwaukee. He stressed that candidates from his party should remind voters of the progress the Obama administration has made. Biden was campaigning for congressional candidates Steve Kagen & Julie Lassa, gubernatorial candidate Tom Barrett and US Senator Russ Feingold. Biden told Democratic Part members at the event that they must remind voters the Bush Administration put the country in an ecomomic hole.
Meanwhile the two candidates for Wisconsin governor debated in Milwaukee on Friday. The debate took an expanded town hall format, letting people from around the state ask questions of the candidates. Tom Barrett said that Scott Walker cannot follow through on his campaign promise to cut taxes because the state faces a budget shortfall of more than two & a half billion dollars. Walker disputes that, saying he can reduce taxes and grow the Wisconsin ecomony at the same time.
