MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Michael Lock, the Milwaukee crime boss who’s serving two life prison terms, got 30 more years Monday for his recent conviction on prostitution charges.
The 39-year-old Lock was found guilty in September of running a sex business throughout Wisconsin and other parts of the Midwest. His wife Shalanda managed the business, and prosecutors let her plead guilty to two misdemeanors in exchange for testifying against her husband.
But at the trial, Shalanda defended Michael Lock, and said prosecutors told her to lie on the witness stand. She was recently given 18 months in jail.
Lock was earlier convicted of murders and other crimes aimed at protecting his drug dealing turf – and running a mortgage fraud scheme. After the latest sentencing, District Attorney John Chisholm declared, “an end of the reign of terror” that Lock imposed on Milwaukee for about 10 years.
Circuit Judge Jeffrey Conen called Lock a “predator without remorse or conscience.”
Meanwhile, there could still be more investigations into Lock’s activity. There are reports that some of Lock’s homicide victims have yet to turn up. And some in his operation claimed that he paid Milwaukee police officers to help commit his crimes.
