JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A motorcyclist was killed in a 3-vehicle collision near Janesville late Thursday afternoon. 47-year-old Albert Melville of Rockford Illinois died at a Janesville hospital.
The crash happened at the corner of Highways 14 and 51. Rock County authorities said Melville’s motorcycle went through a red light, and it collided with a truck that was turning in front of him.
The rider was thrown from his bike, and he and the cycle then hit a car that was turning at the same time. The truck driver was hurt but not hospitalized. The car driver escaped injury. Investigators said speed and alcohol were factors in the mishap.
