MEDFORD, Wis. (WSAU) – A Glen Flora man has been charged with shooting a Gilman man in the stomach more than two weeks ago.
Dusn Novakovic is charged with first-degree attempted homicide in the May 3rd shooting of Patrick Staton. Novakovic will make his initial court appearance on Tuesday. He remains jailed on a $200,000 cash bond.
Police say Novakovic and Staton got into a verbal fight days before the shooting. Authorities have questioned another Glen Flora man who may have witnessed the shooting and know the motive behind it.
Staton was treated and later released from Rusk County Memorial Hospital.
