MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - It was 8 years ago Monday when Alexis Patterson vanished from an elementary school in Milwaukee, right after her stepfather dropped her off.
Today, a $10,000 reward is still being offered for information that leads to her discovery. The case has received national attention many times over the years – and there have been a number of extensive searches. Alexis Patterson was 7 when her stepfather walked her to Milwaukee’s Hi-Mount Elementary School. She never went to class that day, and her family has not seen her since.
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke says the community must continue to search for new information that will either bring Alexis home safely, or explain what happened on May 3rd of 2002. He said his prayers continue to go out to the Patterson family. The Milwaukee Police Department says it still investigates strong leads that come to them – and anyone with information should call.
