MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - 2 men charged with killing 4 people in Milwaukee have had their trial dates set for September 20th. Pre-trial requests will be considered July 7th for 21-year-old Desmond Laster and 23-year-old Anthony Barnes. Each has pleaded innocent to 4 counts of homicide plus arson and possessing firearms as convicted felons. The crimes occurred on February 26th.
Laster, Barnes, and 19-year-old Brittney Robinson were accused of robbing the owner of the house where Robinson and Rachel Thompson lived. The 3 then allegedly killed the 23-year-old Thompson and 2 of her young boys, and set fire to their duplex. Police said they ran off with Thompson’s baby son and dropped him off at a church. And prosecutors said Laster and Barnes later shot Robinson to death.
