PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WTAQ) - A 7-year-old boy killed in a traffic crash in Sheboygan County was identified Monday as Jesse Flores of Cascade.

Sheriff’s deputies said he died at the scene, after the van driven by his mother turned left in front of a pickup truck. It happened Sunday afternoon at the corner of 2 county roads near Plymouth.

Both drivers were treated at a Sheboygan hospital and later released. Jesse’s 12-year-old sister, Taylor Orleans, was flown to Milwaukee Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies now say 5-month-old Mary Flores, who was originally reported to be hurt, escaped injury.

The crash remains under investigation. The driver of the pickup, a 45-year-old Plymouth woman, was ticketed for not wearing a seat belt.
