MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - An attorney who practiced law in Milwaukee for over a half-century was disbarred today.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court told Leonard Brady to pay back one point one million dollars to clients, after he admitted he could not defend himself against allegations of misconduct.
Court records showed that Brady paid himself a million dollars in excessive fees from an estate and he spent the money on personal things. He was also told to pay back 87 thousand dollars for not turning over proceeds from a life insurance policy to an estate.
Brady started practicing law in 1953. He agreed this morning to give up his law license.
