MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - They’re back! After signing up on Monday, thousands of singers lined up at Milwaukee’s Bradley Center Wednesday morning for a chance to become the next “American Idol.”
The singers are approaching the off-camera judges in groups of 4, and delivering their quick auditions one-by-one. Those who make Wednesday’s cut will return later, and sing before a group of executive producers.
The final candidates will sing on camera in late August or early September before the show’s current 3 judges – Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kara DioGuardi. But Wednesday’s hopefuls are getting to see a couple celebrities.
The show’s host, Ryan Seacrest, is there – along with Milwaukee native Danny Gokey, who finished 3rd in the 2009 Idol competition. The 10th season of the Fox music show will start airing in January.
