MADISON, Wis. (WTAQ) - One person was killed and another was injured overnight, when a car hit a parked vehicle, went airborne, landed on its roof, and hit another parked car.

It happened in Madison about 1 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities said a UW police officer was following a car that was swerving – and it was going about 30 miles-an-hour when it hit the first vehicle.

A passenger was taken to a hospital, but the driver died at the scene.
