MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A popular TV priest in Milwaukee a couple decades ago has died. Funeral services were held over the weekend in Omaha for the Reverend Gene Jakubek, who died last Tuesday at age 87. He was known for his TV show “The Answer is Love” – as well as his spiritual retreats, lectures, and counseling sessions. Jakubek was also the chaplain for the Milwaukee Bucks. And he started a help center 42 years ago in Milwaukee that still operates today. In the late 1980’s, Jakubek admitted having an affair with a woman almost 25 years younger than him. He said he gave her up to $80 a month for 5 years, and he said he was not counseling her.
