MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - An airport screener in Milwaukee has been given “remedial training” after letting a passenger take shotgun shells in his carry-on bag. The man was on board a Midwest Airlines flight from Milwaukee to Dallas Monday, when he remembered having the shells before the plane took off. He told a flight attendant, and he was sent back for another security check before re-boarding. The Transportation Security Administration prohibits ammunition in carry-on luggage. The agency’s Jim Fotenos said the incident is being reviewed, and they’ll act appropriately. He refused to say if the screener would be fired or disciplined for letting the shells go through.
