MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - The Milwaukee County government’s top attorney has been appointed as a circuit court judge in Waukesha County. Governor Jim Doyle named William Domina Monday to replace Judge Robert Mawdsley, who will retire next month with over a year-and-a-half left in his term. Domina has been Milwaukee County’s corporation counsel since 2003, after holding a similar post in Waukesha County. He’s also been a commercial litigator, and the governor says Domina has the experience and intellect to be a good judge. Domina says he’s looking forward to the challenge. He’ll serve at least through July of 2011.
