PORTAGE (WKZO) -- A mystery illness has struck at Portage Northern High, or has it? The Portage Public Schools have scheduled a meeting to give anxious parents concerned about a mysterious health issue at Portage Northern High School a chance to confer with experts on what may or may not be happening there.

Students and some teachers have complained of headaches and nausea following exposure to the ground floor of the new science wing. Spokesman Tom Vance says they have tested the air quality twice and found nothing out of the ordinary. They have closed the area anyway as a precaution. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 at the auditorium and will include tours of the science area.
