MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Milwaukee authorities said a 21-year-old man killed himself as officers were close to arresting him for a pair of shooting incidents. Police and a medical examiner’s report said Alex Gregory apparently tried to shoot his girlfriend at a child care center where she was working late Tuesday afternoon. Some shots were fired in the air, but no one was hurt. After that, police said Gregory forced the woman and the couple’s 2 children into a vehicle. He apparently dropped the kids off at one house, and then went to another house where he locked the woman in a room. She escaped, and police said Gregory shot at her. Next, he went to the home of his girlfriend’s sister and shot and wounded her. She’s hospitalized in critical condition, but police expect her to survive. Finally, Gregory went to his sister’s house where officers arrived late Tuesday night. Police said bobbed away from them and shot himself in a kitchen.
