MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Wisconsin’s largest city apparently needs to build up its image. Two dozen officials in Milwaukee have been named to a task force to study Milwaukee’s image. Alderman Terry Witkowski said folks responding to a recent study skipped over questions about the city’s image – and maybe it was because they have no idea what Milwaukee is like. Witkowski says outsiders often think Milwaukee is in Minnesota. Mayor Tom Barrett will serve on the new task force, along with members of the visitors’ bureau and Mitchell International Airport. Witkowski says he’d like to see the panel create a common image to be used in all of Milwaukee’s marketing efforts – and to decide who should pay for it.
