Sheboygan, Wis. (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County Board Tuesday night rejected a resolution brought in by some members of the Finance Committee setting some guidelines for the 2011 budget. The resolution suggested, among other things, holding the levy increase to 2.7 percent, reducing the county workforce by 12 full-time employees, and no increase in the total wage and benefit costs. Supervisor Devin LeMahieu called for no levy increase, citing pay freezes and cutbacks in the private sector. County Board Chairman Mike Vandersteen saw the resolution as interfering with the county’s current budget process, which he said is working. The board then voted 19 to 12 to defeat the resolution
