MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is scheduled to speak at a ceremony Wednesday for Wisconsin’s newest federal prosecutor.
James Santelle will be sworn in as the 34th U.S. attorney for the eastern half of the state. He’s based in Milwaukee, and will replace Steve Biskupic – who held the post for 7 years before resigning with the change in administrations.
Santelle has worked in the Justice Department for 25 years, and he spent two years in Iraq to help that nation develop its justice system. President Obama appointed Santelle as the U.S. attorney last December.
