MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Food pantries in southeast Wisconsin that were damaged by last month’s floods are getting some help.
The Greater Milwaukee United Way has given $50,000 to the Hunger Task Force to provide the food. Replacement food supplies are being given to 3 service groups that run food pantries.
And several others are getting additional allocations to serve residents who had storm water and sewer damage in their homes on July 22nd and 23rd. Over 10,000 homes in Milwaukee County alone were affected. Federal disaster assistance is being sought.
