DE PERE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Most Wisconsinites believe the national economy is the same or better than it was a year ago. 42 percent of those polled by Wisconsin Public Radio and St. Norbert College say the economy is better, and 23 percent believe it’s about the same as the year before. 34 percent say it’s worse.
Also, more than a-third of those surveyed said the economic stimulus package no effect on the overall economy. 29 percent believe it helped, and 34 percent said the stimulus funding actually made the economy worse. 400 people were questioned between March 23rd and last Saturday. The poll has an error margin of plus or minus 5 points.
