MILWAUKEE (WRN) - Milwaukee Police said people in a duplex used bleach to get rid of blood, before officers could arrive to investigate an accidental shooting death. A court affidavit quoted a witness as saying that a 23-year-old man accidentally shot and killed 27-year-old Tyress Clark Monday night, while the shooter was playing with a gun. Police said the man claimed to hear gunshots outside the duplex, and said he found Clark’s body in an adjacent alley before taking him to a hospital. But police said there were no signs of a shooting in the alley – and the house smelled of bleach. A woman who lived there told officers that she and her kids helped clean up the blood so the kids wouldn’t have to live with it. A search warrant affidavit said officers found bullet casings and a bloody mop inside, among other things. The alleged shooter is under arrest but has not been charged. He’s in jail under a $100,000 cash bond.
