Governor Scott Walker has been the liberal's public enemy #1 since Act 10 was introduced in 2011. Wendy Davis of "pink tennis shoes" fame became a liberal darling after her pro-abortion filibuster. So, you would think the Wisconsin and Texas gubernatorial races would be top tier for the Democratic Governor's Association. Ah, not so much.
Not putting a priority on Texas is a no-brainer...Davis is a paper tiger of a candidate and the dems know it. The DGA might feel the same way about Mary Burke here in Wisconsin, but there could be something else at play. Wisconsin dems have decided not to touch Act 10. It's why the hate Walker but they think it's a political loser. Perhaps the DGA doesn't want to make a race a priority if they can't mention the elephant in the room.
Be clear though; both parties put money where they think it will impact the race. That both these races are second tier for the DGA speaks volumes.
