Admittedly this headline doesn't tell the whole story; that includes a two week advance team . And I don't know how this compares to similar trips by other Presidents. Even if it is in line with past Presidential visits it does seem somewhat excessive. How many people are on the advance team? And as for the entourage that took a reported 283 rooms. Let's round that up to 300. $2,000 a night per room would be $600,000. $3K would be $900,000. That leaves another $600,000 for the two week advance team. Again, I don't know if it's out of the norm, but it sure seems excessive in any event.
