I don't know how I feel about this lawsuit. I'm sure airing this man's death was unintentional. But...the cable networks know the risks they're taking when they air these chases, and Fox isn't the only one that does it. They got into this a few years ago when they found out they were ratings goosers. And why is that?
Because people watch because they might end badly, VERY badly, as this one did.What other "news" value is there in telecasting nationally these chases? None. That said, I'm not sure how I feel about awarding damages for an unintentional act. But if the cable networks are still covering these chases, they're idiots.
