I didn't weigh in on this after the story broke, but I thought this bill was a mistake . I agree that child support laws do need reform. But whether or not this bill was crafted to benefit an individual it's impossible to get past the perception that it was. And I don't know what misnformation Joel Kleefisch is referring to, Besides the emails that show Eisenga and his attorney giving direction on this bill, there is a trigger in it that would directly benefit Eisenga.
This was an unforced error by Kleefisch. He was wise to pull it.
