CNN reports it has obtained excerpts of a speech Attorney General Eric Holder will deliver tonight at the Human Rights Campaign's New York City gala event tonight. CNN says Holder says in the speech he is set to extend the federal government's recognition of same-sex marriages, even in the 34 states that don't consider it legal.
So the Holder justice department is going to have to override 34 states that currently ban gay marriage? Is this a defacto legalization of gay marriage? We'll have to see.
