Cool new tech and Michael Bay meltdown at CES

by Greg Belfrage

The annual International Consumer Electronics Show is in full swing in Las Vegas!

Among the awesome new tech pieces this year is the Pebble Steel smartwatch. Dick Tracy wishes his watch were this cool. The Pebble Steel has a new tricolor LED and is fully compatible with all Pebble apps. The watch retails for $249.

Also on display is the Razer Nabu Smartband. It's been billed as the "world's smartest wristband". The Razer Nabu has notifications for iOS and Android as well as fitness tracking and social connections. The guys over at IGN offer a great review...

Transformers director Michael Bay caused a stir at CES yesterday when he melted down during a presentation and walked off stage.

Bay later apologized on his website for the incident. "Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES — I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down — then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing.”
