- Can I just tell you about my weekend in sports? My alma mater lost Homecoming, the Cowboys played an almost perfect game only to lose to the Broncos, the Braves lost in the NLDS, AND I lost BOTH Fantasy Football match-ups. The reason I lost one of them? Alshon Jeffery yet again on my bench with a HUGE game. Ugh.
Alright, let's get this started. Here's some of the best players you should be trying to get off of the waiver wire for this week's games:
1. Pierre Thomas, RB Saints
He's on the waivers in my league but probably not for long. He's a dual threat but so far he's only seen the ball the majority of the time in the passing game and is on pace to have 76 catches on the season. Thomas had a stellar game against the Bears last week and the Saints play the Patriots this week. He'll be good for a flex play.
2. Austin Pettis, WR Rams
He had two touchdowns on Sunday. Yes I know it was against Jacksonville but his previous three games have all been stellar. He could be a steal for you as a possible #2 WR or even for a Flex play.
3. Terrell Pryor, QB Raiders
Before you try to kill me through the computer, just look at his stats. He only missed a start because of a concussion and he's having good games with his only turnover coming in Week 1 vs Indianapolis. If your QB is on a bye this week you could look to Pryor to fill the gap for this week. Be leery though as the Raiders take on the undefeated Chiefs.
4. Terrance Williams, WR Cowboys
Tony Romo had the game of his life on Sunday and Williams, who has been prone to drops in his rookie season, was a big part of that. He had seven catches for 151 yards, 83 yards of that coming on his lone touchdown. With Mile Austin still bothered by a hamstring injury that has hindered him for most of his career it could be Williams lining up the opposite side of Dez Bryant this Sunday night vs Washington.
