Another week in the book

Posted by Mark Daniels on

The Packers wrapped up their week of preparation Tuesday for the Bengals game in Cincinnati Thursday night, leaving them with just three training camp practices left upon their return.  The team worked in shorts and helmets on another perfect weather day on Ray Nitschke field for about 75 minutes.  Practice highlights included rookie B.J. Coleman directing a two minute drive, sucessfully, ending with a touchdown with four seconds left on the clock.  Jamari Lattimore and Sam Shields had the big picks for the defense.

Two injuries were reported by Mike McCarthy after the workout, D.J. Williams took the day off with an ankle sprain.   Another tight end, Demcaro Cosby was out with a hamstring.

The Packers have already ruled out several for the Cincinnati game.  That list includes running backs Du'ane Bennett, Brandon Saine, Jon Hoese and James Starks.  Guard Ray Dominguez, tackle Andrew Datko, receiver Shaky Smithson, defensive back Davon House and obviously linebacker Desmond Bishop are all scratches.

On the link below, camp quotes including comments from GM Ted Thompson who had his weekly media visit at Lambeau.
