Mason Crosby is the NFC's Special Teams player of the week for helping deliver the opening day victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia.  Crosby nailed  49 yard field goal and then broke the Packers' franchise record with a 56 yarder on the final play of the first half to give Green Bay a 13-3 lead.   Crosby's kick eclipsed the record that had been shared by Chris Jacke, Ryan Longwell and Dave Rayner at 54 yards.  Mason's previous longest was 53.  This is the second time in his career he's received the NFC Special Teams Player of the week award.

The Packers also made a change on their practice squad today, releasing linebacker Robert Francois and signing rookie defensive back Josh Gordy.  The undrafted rookie out of Central Michigan was in the Jacksonville Jaguars camp in August.
